POST DOCTORAL FELLOW

Post Doctoral Fellowship Program is a 2-year program that focuses on enhancing the applied research in the area of scholar’s doctoral research. This program gives scholars the opportunity to further enhance and take their previous research to next level. The program’s objective is to assist scholars become educators and practitioners, in teaching their area of expertise, in commercializing their research or turn it into innovative product and help scholars in securing funding and investment for their research ventures. Upon successful completion of the program, the scholars are awarded with the title of ‘Post Doctoral Fellow’ of CIRND and are authorized to use ‘Postdoc Fellow’ as a prefix to their names.

Who Can Apply?

Typically for scholars with one or more of the following:

  1. PhD/ Doctoral Degree of minimum 3 years duration from recognised institution with 3 to 10 years of work experience in research/ industry or academic institution and minimum 3 publications.
  2. Doctoral Level Fellowship Programs of minimum 1.5 year duration from recognised institutions with 3 to 10 years of work experience and minimum 3 research publications
  3. Any other profile with significant research experience evidenced through practical application and/or publications decided on a case to case basis by the Research Advisory Committee

Cost of Delivery

The program is a subsidised program where major cost is covered by the organization while a nominal commitment fee is charged from accepted participants. Fee for the year 2025 session is INR 60,000 for all participants irrespective of the country of citizenship.

PUBLIC SERVANT FELLOW PROGRAM

Public Servant Professional Fellowship Program is a 2 year program for public servants  focusing  on enhancing their administrative, governance, ethical leadership, policy-making and decision-making skills. The program typically includes modules on governance, policy formulation, financial management, and ethical practices. It also emphasizes effective communication, conflict resolution, and adaptability to technological advancements. By providing practical knowledge and fostering critical thinking, the program aims to strengthen their ability to deliver efficient and transparent public services while addressing societal challenges. The participants who complete the entire program are awarded with the title of ‘Public Servant Fellow’ of CIRND and are authorized to use ‘Public Servant Fellow’ as a prefix to their names.

Who Can Apply?

  1. Eligibility:

    • Applicant must be a government employee or hold an official position in the public administration sector.

    • Should have been in minimum 2 years of service to ensure relevant experience.

    • Open to all levels of public service roles, from entry-level to senior officials.

  2. Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelors Degree is preferred but not mandatory and preferably in public administration, political science, law, or related fields.

  3. Performance Record:

    • Strong performance history in professional evaluations or appraisals.

    • Demonstrated commitment to public service and ethical practices.

    • Strictly no record of corruption, malpractice or unethical behavior

  4. Language Proficiency:

    • Proficiency in both written and spoken communication in the region of public service and preferably in English language as well

  5. Nomination Process:

    • Applications must be endorsed by the relevant government body or supervisor or recommendation from any other govt. authority

  6. Personal Statement:

    • Applicants to submit a brief statement detailing their motivation for joining the program, expected benefits and vision for improving public service

  7. Direct recommendations or reference endorsements by MLAs and MPs are also welcome

Cost of Delivery

The total cost of the program is ₹5,50,000 for Indian resident public servants. Sponsorships for the program fee can be accepted from both the concerned government or any other non-governmental body.

The program can be self sponsored by the public servant, however, authorization from the concerned govt. department is mandatory.

Program can be fully sponsored by the CIRND Federation or its partner organizations for public servants with exceptional record of service. Application for getting this sponsorship must be made separately and is evaluated by a committee.

RESEARCH FELLOW PROGRAM

Research Fellowship Program is a 1.5 to 3-year doctoral level program with flexible exit options that focuses on applied research in the area of participant’s interest and academic background. This program gives participants intensive, top-notch, multidisciplinary training in the areas of the participant’s interest and allied overlapping areas, preparing them to perform innovative, global and multidisciplinary research. The program’s participants enhance their research and business acumen by drawing on their current expertise and academic background. The program’s objective is to assist individuals in conducting cutting edge research in their chosen areas and work towards further practical application of their research through new ventures or in their existing organizations. Upon successful completion of the program, the executives are awarded with the title of ‘Research Fellow’ of CIRND and are authorized to use ‘Research Fellow’ as a prefix to their names.

Accepted participants who would wish to exit the program earlier without completing the entire term can do so at the start of the 4th month and before the end of 12th month with earning the award of ‘Research Support Fellow’ or ‘Research Associate’ based on the type of research contribution.

Who Can Apply?

This program is for individuals with one or more of the following:

  1. Post Graduation/ Masters Degree (1 or 2 year)/ 2 year Post Graduate Diploma from recognized institution with 0 to 5 years of work experience
  2. 4-year Bachelors Degree (Technical)/ Professional Qualification from recognised institutions with 0 to 5 years of work experience
  3. Any other profile decided on a case to case basis by the Research Advisory Committee

Who Can Apply?

Typically Working Executives with more than 7 years of domain expertise evidenced through one or more of the following:

  1. Original Research evidenced by publication or practical exposure/ application
  2. Work Experience as an employee at an expert level with established organizations evidenced by work experience certificates 
  3. Entrepreneurial experience evidenced by incorporated startups, MSMEs, or proprietorship firms
  4. Any other Practical application of the expertise domain evidenced by work in public domain

Faculty Fellowship Program is a 1-year program for teaching professionals involved in teaching and research at higher education institutions. The program focuses on giving industrial immersion training to academic professors and help improving their teaching performance by gaining cutting edge industry experience so that their teaching incorporates industry relevant and practical skills being imparted to students. The program’s faculty participants enhance their research and practical application acumen by drawing on their current expertise and academic background while applying theoretical principles in real life industrial settings. The program’s objective is to assist faculty in shaping students who can think out of the box, break conventional theories and get trained in practical application of their subject areas. It also allows faculty to carry out research projects at CIRND Federation and its partner organizations.

Accepted participants who successfully complete the program are awarded ‘Faculty Fellow’ of CIRND.

Who Can Apply?

This program is for individuals with one or more of the following:

  1. Professors with teaching and/ or research experience with more than 2 years at a CIRND recognized higher education institution. Accepted participants are typically Vice Chancellors, Dean, Professors, Adjunct Professors, Clinical Professors, Professor of Practice, Provost, Lecturer, Reader, Librarians (with minimum 3 publications) or any other equivalent position in their respective home country with minimum 2 years of teaching experience. 
  2. Any other similar profile decided on a case-to-case basis by the Advisory Committee
